Executive Board

BAUER Aktiengesellschaft, founded in 1994, is the holding company of the Group. BAUER AG is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Group and controls and monitors the operating segments as part of the investment controlling process. As a service provider, it also performs central administrative and service functions for the affiliated companies. The Executive Board pursues long-term goals and bases its decisions on the values of the BAUER Group.

Lena Effinger

Lena Effinger, born in 1972, has been appointed as a Member of the Executive Board of BAUER Aktiengesellschaft, effective June 1, 2025. She will be responsible for financing and corporate services. After completing her business administration studies (VWA) at the Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie München e. V. in 2002, the Munich native began her career at SüdLeasing Bayern GmbH in the Structured Finance and International Leasing division. In 2004, she moved to Deutsche Leasing AG in the Partnering & International division. Two years later, in 2006, she joined BAUER Maschinen GmbH, where she took over as head of the Finance and Contracts Management department. Parallel to her professional career, she obtained a degree in finance and leasing (Dipl.) VWA Freiburg in 2007 and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)/Business Lawyer (FH) in 2012. In 2016, Lena Effinger moved to BAUER AG, where she was Head of Treasury & Finance until her appointment to the Executive Board. Her responsibilities included relationship management with banks, leasing companies and credit insurers, group treasury and reporting, and trade finance. In 2017, she completed the Certified Corporate Treasurer (VDT) programme at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Dipl.-Ing.

Klaus Pöllath

Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Pöllath, born in 1953, was appointed to the Executive Board of BAUER Aktiengesellschaft on June 7, 2025, and is responsible for operational matters in the business segments. He studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart and the Technical University of Munich. In 1979 he began his career at Ed. Züblin AG. From 1989 to 1991, he was Branch Manager at Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH, Munich, before moving to Stuttgart where he was Managing Director of Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH from 1991 to 2002. In addition to this, from 2001 to 2005 he also managed the Foreign Department of Züblin International GmbH. Between 2003 and 2018, he was Member of the Executive Board of Ed. Züblin AG. From 2011 to 2018, he was also Vice President Technology of the Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (Federation of the German Construction Industry). He was also involved for many years as member of the Executive Board of the Building Foundation and the Building Academy Biberach, as well as Chairman of the German Concrete and Construction Technology Association. Since 2020, he has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Initiative Praxisgerechte Regelwerke im Bauwesen e.V. In 2021, Klaus Pöllath became a member of the Supervisory Board of BAUER AG - his mandate is currently suspended.
