BAUER AG successfully completes reorganization of its Executive Board

Schrobenhausen, Germany – With the appointment of Dr. Martin Thormann on September 15, 2025, the Executive Board of BAUER AG has now been completely restructured. Within just three months, the company has reorganized its management committee in order to position the company sustainably for the challenges of the future. 

The new three-member Executive Board consists of Lena Effinger, who is responsible for all central services at BAUER AG, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Heck, who is responsible for the Geotechnical Solutions and Resources segments, and Dr.-Ing. Martin Thormann, who is in charge of the Equipment segment.
 

The new Executive Board members

Lena Effinger has been with the BAUER Group for almost 20 years and has headed the Group Finance department since 2016. There, she was primarily responsible for financing and treasury.

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Heck began his career in 1997 at Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH before becoming a professor of Construction Management and Construction Economics in 2006. He also shares his expertise as managing director of H+P Consult GmbH in Graz. In addition, he has been a court-certified and sworn expert for calculation, procurement, contract awarding, construction management, and construction accounting since 2008. Since 2020, he has also been the spokesperson for the DACH construction management professorships.

Dr.-Ing. Martin Thormann joined thyssenkrupp AG in 2012 and simultaneously completed his doctorate in mechanical engineering at TU Dortmund University in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute. In 2015, he moved to the strategy department of thyssenkrupp Elevator (now known as TK Elevator) and took over as head of the strategy team for the Europe Africa business unit in 2018. In 2020, he was appointed CEO Nordics. Since the end of 2022, as CEO Greater Europe, he has been responsible for TK Elevator's operational business in over twelve countries and its distributor business in the CIS states. 


Outlook

The new Executive Board will use the coming period to engage in intensive dialogue with the workforce, draw conclusions from this and develop concrete measures for the future. The aim is to position Bauer in such a way that the company is well equipped for the future.
