Employee and Management Development Tools
In the BAUER Group many different personnel development tools are used. These include annual employee appraisals, mentoring, and coaching, as well as the program abroad, BeMobil. The BAUER Training Center acts as your contact, fulfilling advisory and coordinating functions.
In addition to further and continuing educational measures, these tools also serve to assist employees and managers in the implementation of their jobs and support them in their career development. The effective development of employees and managers is also a key element of our long-term strategy to:
- Further develop junior employees
- Gain commitment from highly qualified employees and managers to the company,
- Fill management positions with qualified employees from within the company.
Employee Appraisals
A central element of employee and management development at the BAUER Group is the annual employee appraisal. It is used primarily as a means of communication to discuss development goals, continuing education measures, and other related issues.
Mentoring
At the BAUER Group, mentoring supports the personal and professional development of an employee (mentee) through a member of the upper management team (mentor), who provides advice.
The BAUER Group is in this regard also a member of the so-called Career-Building Program for Female Engineers and Junior Scientists, the mentorING program at the TU Munich (Technische Universität = University of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Munich). The goal of this program is to increase the percentage of women in these fields and to support those women already working in technical professions.
Coaching
Individual, situational coaching within the BAUER Group is targeted especially at upper management and can be described as "helping people to help themselves." Through coaching support it is provided to help managers further improve their problem-solving and decision-making competencies, as well as to help them increase their ability to self-reflect and to take on responsibility.
Job-Rotation / The BeMobil Program Abroad – Living and Working Abroad
The BeMobil program abroad offers employees of the BAUER Group the opportunity to gain initial experience abroad for ca. six months. In addition to providing an opportunity for personal enrichment, the overriding goal is to build up an international network for further professional development within the BAUER Group.
