Logistics Centre Perlen, Switzerland

In Perlen, Bauer Spezialtiefbau was contracted by Lötscher Tiefbau AG, Littau, to carry out the ground im-
provement for a logistics centre on the site of Aldi Suisse AG. The project involved 225,000 linm of vertical drains down to a depth of 25 m and 29,000 linm of vibro-displacement densification with column lengths from 3 to 10 m, diameter 650 mm.
