In Germersheim on the Rhine, Bauer Spezialtiefbau compacted the sand and gravel backfill of a former harbour basin. After the installation
of 23,400 running metres of vibro-compaction densification down to a depth of 13.5 m, the area can be utilized as a container terminal.
